WEEKEND REPORT (SAT PM, SUN PM)
SAT PM:
Got out and hustled to the grounds as we knew our shot to get the fish was right away as the tide was going to be slack at about 8. Picked away at the first spot boating a few fish, made a move to a new area and had fish on immediately. Multiple fish on at a time with fish flying over the rail. Unfortunately this only lasted 3 or 4 drifts and most of the fish were short. After that we picked a few on every drift and everywhere we went until it was time to head to the barn. Overall, good action. Mostly slots and shorts coming up with a mix of a couple keepers. Some jumbos were lost though.... they're still around for sure.
SUN PM:
Didn't quite expect much on the fishing side if I'm being completely honest with the conditions presented to us. 25mph winds out of the east and a strong outgoing tide only let us get a couple miles into the trip until Capt Justin decided it was safest to run for shelter in the river. Made a handful of drops in the nice calm river, read fish really well and picked a few here and there. Overall, for the conditions, NOT BAD! Certainly not what we'd hope for but we had to make due with what was dealt.
Wednesday is a new day and we'll be back at it AM AND PM trips. Book now
